Homestays as a form of meeting people and new friends and the

Countrystay
is a broad term for accommodation of a rural nature. They offer
accommodation in a private home but generally under a rural setting,
similar to homestays. Many are associated with all the features and
attractions of the countryside and can offer you the chance to
experience rural New Zealand life. Countrystays and can be situated
on orchards, vineyards or picturesque sea and mountain settings.

Farmstays
offer all the common attractions of a countrystay but with the added
abilities to experience real New Zealand farm life. Often guest are
given the opportunity to have contact with animals and experience
the day to day running of a farm or be given a farm tour. Breakfast
is usually taken with the family and many Farmstays offer lunch and
evening meals, as restaurants are often not close by. We suggest
that you contact your host if you are interested in a particular
aspect of farm life (such as lambing or sheep shearing) to arrange
accommodation for a particular time of the year.

Boutique
Accommodation is a term used to reflect a hosts or
properties unique features. Many Boutique properties are styled or
constructed to reflect a period in time, elegance, artistic
impression, romance or beauty. Many properties also offer themes or
multiple themes throughout the property and staying within this type
of accommodation can often be like stepping back in time. A unique
and enjoyable experience.

Houses are generally accommodation facilities catering
for larger guest numbers. Many are hotels or inns which feature
generous and comfortable accommodation and can be located close to
restaurants or feature in house dining and bar facilities.

Self-contained
accommodation can be both adjoining the hosts living
areas or a separately located facility altogether. They feature
independent entrance and bathroom facilities as well as kitchen and
laundry areas. Meal facilities can include a range of services form
dining with your hosts, meals provided for dining within your
accommodations as well as self contained kitchen facilities.

Luxury
Accommodation is referred to for those accommodations
which offer superior service, accommodations and attractions. They
can feature any of the above terms but are set apart by their
uniqueness and commitment to services and quality standards. Many
luxury accommodation facilities feature spectacular views. |
