Our cottage, near Balfour, looks out over the Mataura River, known world wide for its Brown Trout fishing, looks up towards the East Dome and Umbrella Mountains and down the Hokonui Hills towards Gore. A great view. This is the ideal spot for a quiet relaxing holiday if you choose or as a central base for day trips to Te Anau and Milford Sound, Manapouri and Doubtful Sound, Queenstown, and Central Otago. Our interests include gardening, farming and a collection of vintage tractors. The cottage itself is warm and cosy with two bedrooms, bathroom with a shower over the bath and a toilet, and a reasonably big living area with two divans which are ideal for sleeping children. The kitchen is included in the living area but is divided off by an island bar. The cottage is available as self contained accommodation. A warm friendly welcome awaits you. |
