The Lake Brunner Motel complex is a unique concept on 6 acres of landscaped grounds, bordering on a native tree reserve. Seven fully self contained timber Cottages contribute to a warm and relaxing ambience and are individually situated in a village style setting. On site we have a hot spa pool, BBQ area, petanque court, children's swings, chip & putt golf and plenty of wide open spaces for ball games etc. The cottages can each sleep up to 6 people with various bedding arrangements and 'as new' facilities. Wonderful for families or groups and very peaceful for couples. Your cottage has a large veranda and decking to sit out on and relax after a fun filled day. Watch the vivid red sunset disappear behind the native trees, listen to the birds as they roost for the night, and hear the Moorpork as he comes to life in the evening. From the property are the most magnificent views of surrounding rain forest and mountains. Wake up each morning to peace and privacy, hear the native bird song and see the very tame Weka's (flightless birds, similar to the Kiwi) going about their business and feeding their young around the property. Our complex provides a unique environmental experience ideally situated for visitors to participate in a wide variety of activities to be found in the area. Tha lake and surrounding rivers and streams have some of the best brown trout fishing in the South Island, with year round fishing in the lake and some rivers. There are many walks in the native rain forests nearby for all levels of fitness. Frances and David invite you to come and stay at their 'Very Special Place' where service comes first. |
